We ended up dyeing the sides brown again. They came out fairly well with only a touch of blue/green in there (although that may just be the scalp colored showing through).

If you look closely just under the hair line you can see little scabs forming already. I broke out and was very tender there, plus the extra dye, soap, and shampoo, so it got a little tortured. That should be okay soon enough.
